{{ Sadly, there isn’t. But I thank you for trying. It was supply and demand and it turns out I wasn’t very high in demand. }} |
{{ I’ve been busy being a bum. I was fired last week. }} |
{{ We’re all faring well, thank you. Jen and Micha have been quite exhausted as of late, since Jen’s now working for the police and Micha’s just tired. He said something about anaemia a while back. }} |
{{ Hello, love. }} |
“No, of course not,” Winston mumbled. “You’re just very…nice. Kind. Warm. That’s how my mum was. She wanted to make everyone happy, even if she wasn’t. Even my father…” he said softly. He took a quiet sip of his tea as he perched on his makeshift bed. “My mum’s gone now, but I suppose it was for the best.” Winston tugged on his button up, staring down at the milky brown contents of his tea, watching the excess sugar swirl about the top. Winston blew out a slow sigh. “I-well. A bit. It takes a lot out of me, though, and I usually have to wait a few hours before returning,” he murmured. “And I would completely understand if you decided I wasn’t worth it,” Winston mumbled. (Source: taleendskeeper) |
Winston sat cross legged on his bed and stared down at his tea mug. “Yeah. I’ve seen it nearly go there a few times and it’s the scariest thing. To think what I’ve been cultivating and moulding for almost fifteen years could just…drop.” “I don’t want this shop to have over a hundred customers a day. I just want one or two. About twenty a week. I don’t want the hustle and bustle. I just want my books and my tea,” he murmured. He’d like a friend or two, but once they found out what he was and what he could do, they left him, too. “You remind me of my mum,” he said quietly. (Source: taleendskeeper) |
Winston wrung his hands and took a deep breath. “I’m not entirely human. I am a muta- I have a genetic mutation.” That wasn’t too hard. As soon as the words left his mouth, though, he couldn’t stop them. “My atoms, you see, they don’t stay still. They knock about and they make this charge. And then they separate. And then I disappear, and reappear in another location. Be it a city, a state, a village, another country. One time, I managed to a deserted island.” He bit his lip and closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable. (Source: taleendskeeper) |
